Club Information

The Winchcombe Table Tennis Club was formed in 1974 by the late Sam Ewens, with six teams playing in the Cheltenham Table Tennis Association league.
During the club's life, many playing successes have been achieved at individual, team and representative level whilst consistently contributing to the management of the of the of the league. Currently this includes the President, two Vice Presidents and the General Secretary.
The club meets on Thursday nights in the gym at rear of Winchcombe School during the playing season between September and March. All members pay an annual subscription that allows them to practice if space permits and also play in a team in the Cheltenham League.
At the end of the season the club hold their closed tournament open to all members at a small cost, to cover the hire of the hall for the night and trophies.
The league matches start at 7.15pm and are finished by 10.30pm if not before and most players and members then visit the local pub The Royal Oak in Winchcombe to enjoy a drink and chat before heading home.
The club has 5 teams at present in the local Cheltenham league all of varying standards and is always looking for new members.
At the present time the club does not have a junior training session however it is recommended that players of junior age contact the Cheltenham Table Tennis League. Please refer to our links page for their web details.
